Hi friends!
Thanks for signing up to get emails from us as we embark on this new adventure south of the border.
While we’re in Mexico, we’ll send you brief pictures, stories, poems, recipes, etc. from our trip. But, before opening a new door in Mexico, we closed our chapter in Providence.
Saying adiós to Providence…
We spent our last month in this tiny city saying goodbye to friends, taking lots of walks, eating good food, and getting rid of almost all of our things. We’ll miss all our friends in Providence and New England (that was the hardest part of leaving), but we’re so excited for a new beginning.
It’s a freeing feeling to not to have many possessions.
Road trip to Poughkeepsie
All our things fit in Anna’s car (minus a few things we were able to store at Auntie Anne Marie’s - thank you!) and we left our sunny apartment on Elton Street before the afternoon heat wave of a 90+ degree day. Thank goodness because we had already sold the air conditioner in the apartment!
Anna’s grandparents let us store our boxes in the basement in Poughkeepsie and her Uncle Peter’s taking car of her car.
Our Retirement in Florida (aka unemployment)
After a quick stop in Brooklyn, we flew down to Florida to spend a week with Anna’s parents.
Aunt Katrina also happened to be visiting at the same time!
Highlight of the week? THE SPRINGS. A natural treasure of North Central Florida.
Where’s the Mexico City content???
We’re not in Mexico yet!
We leave for Mexico City on Thursday. More to come once we land!
I love the pictures!!!
